I want to start a small scale fermented grape wine making industry, which will not have alcohol concentration more than 6%. I want to start Can I start as a sole propreitory concern?
Will it attract excise duty? How much? Where to register? I am from Hyderabad?
I would like to sell them locally, are there any exemptions?
Will it attract VAT? ST? etc.
How do I go about fulfilling my idea, a start from the scratch reply is much appreciated.

Wine will not attract Central Excise. But do keep in touch with state excise authroities as generally there is more permiission/licence/controls exercised by the state goverments.
