We have purchased debentures/shares of Reliance petro 20 years back in joint names (my brother and me). I went out of state and forgot about this matter.. now i want to sale the same.. i will open the damat account in my single name. my brother dont have PAN card. Can i sell the debentures in my single name.. what is the procedure. can any one help me
NO IT WONT WORK....IF DEBENTURES IN JOINT NAME U HAVE TO OPEN A JOINT DEMATE ACCOUNT AS WELL TO GET UR DEBENTURES IN DEMATE ACCOUNT.........HOWEVER U CAN SELL IT IN EITHER OF NAME BUT IN THE DEMATE SLIP SIGNATURE OF BOTH WILL REQUIRE TO DELIVER DEBENTURES......
