I want to open a company branch in uk

Hi, I have a small software company running in India. my partner is currently in UK and will be there for almost 1 more year. We want to establish a company in UK so that he can bring in More business to India. 

I want to understand how to form a compnay in UK  and Also I need to understand the various type of companies and their comparison in Terms of benefits/ Taxes / etc
