Dear Friend,

According to section 10(13A),

HRA exemption can be claimed only in the year it has been occure and hence cannot be carry forwarded.

Hence you cannot claim HRA deduction.

Alternative 1

if u have not claimed ur hra exemption and not filled ur return for previous year then u can take benifit of deduction under 80gg

note u can take benifit of this section only when ur employer is not giving u hra allowance

Alternative 2

if company agrees to revise its tds on salary return then after revision of tds return you can take benifit of hra exemption

but normally company do not agree to revise tds return until and unless its there fault
