Can we take HRA as allowance exemption if we were not provided rent details to the Employer during the year??

Yes u can claim HRA exemption.May be u receive an intimation under e proceedings like there is difference in income between Form 16 and return.Then u have to submit rent receipts to the department by attaching receipt in response to such proceeding.
