Hra declaration

Hi,
I am software engineer working in a private company.My HRA amount per month is 21000.My wife is a govt school teacher.She is entitled to get an HRA amount of 6000.The school is asking to produce my salary breakup.Now as my HRA amount is much higher so if I produce the salary breakup ,then she will not get the HRA.I want to know that is it mandatory rule to produce the salary breakup for private sector employees to the govt school?Please help me in this regards.I need your suggestion about what we can do to manage the situation.
