CAN HRA BE CLAIMED BY AN INDIVIDUAL (SALARIED PERSON) ,IF HE PAYS RENT TO HIS OWN HUF.

Yes, Individual and his HUF is seprate entity as per income tax. So, HRA deduction can be claimed if individual is paying rent to his HUF and house is in the name of HUF.
