hi guys.hope u all get thru.i'll b appearing for ca final in nov and i m taking classes from ashish kalra sir,so what do u people suggest shud i rely on his buks and material or shud i refer some reference books also and if anybody can tell me the name of the book to b referrrd as well.

accounts k exam mein jitna easy aaya tha... aaj us se jyada tough tha.

marks ki average khraab kardi icai ne 1st group ki.... :(

@ ashima - just rely on one book.the saying is "dig deep but not wide"

rely only on the book where u r having coaching.just be clear with your concepts.

I won't say much as people have different preparation and different merits...but I had one month of time to study 4papers...in that scenario also I would get just a Fair 30marks..thats it 30..and even if I wud have got 4months extra still I wud get 30 !!! thats the paper according to me...jo asan tha woh sach mein asan tha aur jisme rulaya sachme rulaya..ALL HAIL ICAI...may be NOV paper wud be good enuf for passing ...am hopefull regarding my prep and icai's whim!!

I think was paer was easy if ur concepts are clear......Q.4a ,Q.5a and Q.6b was from RTP nov 10....24 mks

Q.6a, Q.4a.Q.5b, Q.2a, Q.1d were the basic questions.....35mks........Q.3a was a repeated question from may 2005 with some modification....8mks

So passing would nt be big deal.......but getting exemption!!!!!

itni high level ki theory k concepts ko chhod kar itni low standard ki theory daali exam mein... :(

jisne bhi sfm ka simple n dimple ltd ki equity value vaala question ka answer dekhna hai...... RTP nov 2010 ka 8th question dekh le....

SFM paper was

easy upto 50%

average  25%

difficult 25%

overall ok

friends that is how ICAI sets paper

it gives u chance to score 40 by giving sum easy questions but compensates equally by set other hard questions

It is a question of judgement

yes i agree that sum question were not it should be for 8 marks or so

but look at Q1 10 marks totally unexpected nd Q6 theory part though from Nov10 Rtp but then also unexpected

So around u can say only 25-30 marks came unexpected

but people u  could from rest 75-70 marks

Rest all depends on checking by ICAI

I think v have done our job  now let ICAI do theirs
