1. Hold only one of the following sets of buttons simultaneously (at the same time):
2. While holding on the buttons, press the "ON" button [C/CE]
3. The calculator turns off.
(Hold for 3-4 seconds if its not working)

you had tried this on a calculator of some specific brand?
The calculator on which this trick was tested must be low on battery.....
because it could't withstand the pressing of so many buttons together and got turned off!! lol
