Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies how to handle debit notes within the GSTR-4 annual return. A debit note received from a party you sold goods to is treated as a sales return. You should report your net sales after deducting these sales returns. This ensures accurate reporting of your purchase net of debit notes (purchase returns) in the annual return.

You are required to show your purchase net of debit note (i.e Purchase Return) in GSTR 4 Annual return.
