How to protect a specified range of cells in ms excell 2007

Hello friends 

If any one know how to protect a specified range of cells in MS Excell 2007 please share it here

Select the cells to which you want to apply the protection and lock them.

Locking can be done at Format Cells --> Protection --> Lock

Then apply a password to modify the sheet. 

Protection can by right clicking on the sheet name and clicking on protect sheet.
