How to prepare for ca ipcc auditing ?

For auditing, I would first suggest Institute's study material. But if you don't want to read it as it is very lenghty to read. 

Also you can read Handbook on Audit by Surabhi Bansal, it is short copy of ICAI module and also it is in tabular form hence easy to read and understand.

If you don't want to go with ICAI Study material, then Surabhi Bansal is a next best option. 

One more thing, if u wanna get good marks in audit, must read suggested answers by ICAI of past exams. If you read only suggested answers of past exams 4 times, I assure u that u will get 50% marks in audit.

2. Refer compiler and Surbhi Bansal's book.

3. Refer DS Rawat for Standards on Auditing.

extra tips:

1.mention sections while answering company audit quetions (appointment of auditor most imp)

2.learn AS thoroughly(imp. are 320,200A,520,600,610, like wise...)

3.1st 4 chapters of vol-I are imp...

dont forget to refer "rtp", model, suggeted answers...

note: most of d qutions are theory type, now-a-days(if u understand d concpt well don't go too deep on case-laws)

and also see the applicable sa's isued by icai for correct knowledge

 i think someone is misguiding you but please refer only and only ICAI materials for study of auditing.

u can refer some of the classes notes of IPCC with icai modules

hi........Refer ICAI MODULE........ dnt go for ny othr buks.............Dnt frgt to go through practice manual , rtp nd past compilation..its more than enuf ...u'll crack d xam ..for sure..

In ICAI material too we have lenthy paragraphs. please focus on the concepts whre u have bullet points.

What i have observed from the last exam papers is that most of the questions from ICAI material are from the concepts whre we have bullet points.

This is only my personal suggetion. You may have to refer the other best materials as suggested by our CCI freinds.
