Always remember that the successful people do the same things as the ordinary people do, but they do them in a different way.
You should have your own way or style of doing things, which should not be a copy of anyone else's.
This does not mean that you should not have any role model. You should learn the qualities like hard work, consistency and patience, which are essential for everybody, from the people whom you idolize.
Many employed people are constantly thinking about how to get noticed, so that they can impress their boss. At your workplace, getting noticed is possible, only if you are showing consistent improvement in your productivity. Your sincerity and dedication for your job will also be taken into consideration, while judging you as an employee.
At the end of the day, your performance will be compared to that of your colleagues and the one who is more useful and loyal to the company, will be the winner in this race.
While working in your office, have a can-do attitude and practice positive thinking. Do not resort to any unfair, unacceptable, illegal and immoral means to beat your counterparts and get ahead, as this can have an adverse effect on your career.
Professionalism and talent are the keys for success in professional life. Be unique and keep improving your skill set.
