I am a freelancer from Kolhapur who does online work, some through Upwork and some with direct clients who remit through PayPal. I use LFT mode of remittance for Upwork and direct bank transfer for PayPal. Remittance happens to my local IDBI branch.
Now, in order to be GST compliant for exports of service, I need the bank FIRC. I had never bothered to collect until now and nor have they provided any time. I'd like to know what is the process of getting the bank FIRC, whom to approach and what to tell them?
From the forums I've read until now, it seems that only in case of wire transfers, the bank issues an FIRC and in other cases like LFT, its quite difficult to get it.
I'd like to know your experience with this and how difficult it usually is to get an FIRC in these cases.
