How to find X y and X th root of Y using normal calculator?

If during exam, you have to find X y or X th root of Y, you can use normal calculator for this.

Steps to be followed:

·         Type X in your calculator

·         Hit √ button 15 times

·         Deduct 1

·         Multiply Y

·         Add 1

·         Hit (X followed by = ) button 15 times

·         You get the Answer

For example:

5√59049 (5th root of 59049)...  and 3 0.9

Find 3 0.9

 

Display

Find 5√59049 is also 59049 1/5

 

Display

Type 3 in your calculator

Type 59049 in your calculator

 

59049

Hit √ button 15 times

 

1.00003352754

Hit √ button 15 times

 

1.00033532606

Deduct 1

 

0.00003352754

Deduct 1

 

0.00033532606

Multiply 0.9

 

0.00003017478

Divide 5 (equivalent to Mutiply 1/5)

 

0.00006706521

Add 1

Hit (X followed by = )button 15 times

Remember Don’t press any other button other than above in between these operations..

This technique was learned from one of my teachers…

The second last step is slightly confusing, what do you mean by Hit (X followed by = )button 15 times?

 Hit (X) mutiplication button and then (=) equal button (Repeat this process 15 times)

Yes it's a little tricky but very simple.

What the second last step means is that you have to hit "multiplication" button than hit "equal to" button....NOW don't hit "equal to" 15 times BUT repeat the same process [ Hit "multiplication" than "equal to"] again for 15 times.

U need not press (√) and (x=) 15 times.. u get the ans by doing it 12 times also...

Yes, Its Quite Old.

You Can do It by 12 Times Instead of 15 Times.

Of course, we will get.... as the number increases more accurate answer will be obtained...

U can do it 10 12 15 whatever time u wish to... Its only that if u use 15 than use 15 at both places... More number u use... More accurate is ur answer
