3 people had opened a private limited company in Delhi and after 2 months business suffered losses and operations closed down. Its 6 years now and we want to close the PVT LTD (RoC) company from records, can you please guide as to whats needs to be done.

First check the Co in active or strike off by the ROC
If in active, you have to follow section 248 (2) process. It's for removal of name of your name from ROC.. Defunct company.

Go to the MCA website, under MCA services get the master data of the company by giving the CIN of the company. Master data gives you details on the status of the company
In MCA site, the company status is already showing at STRIKEOFF, I called MCA office, they told me to go to NCLT and get the company revived and thenapply for closure thru STK2, is this true? Can I leave the status in Strike off status and relax, will it be considered as closed per se. because going thru NCLT etc will be a long process. Please guide
Leaving the status as such does not close the company. You have to file a petition with the NCLT.
