one of client is having inadvertently held more than one card. one is used for filing it return and another card is used for vat filing. Now at the time of registration I came to know the fact and now I want to change the pan
number in vat registration (ie) what was so far used in filing it return. help me to resolve the issue

Surrender one PAN at earliest. May be the one registered with VAT, as income tax files are linked with another one.
Surrender your PAN which was with the VAT department and update it with the PAN you use to file your IT returns. Consult your local sales tax department
