1. A manager gets 5% commission on sales, cost price of goods sold is Rs. 40,000 which he sells at a margin of 20% on sale. commission will be. Ans: Rs.2500

2. A manager gets 5% commission on net profit after charging such commission.  If gross profit is Rs. 48,000 and expenses of indirect nature other than managers commission are Rs. 6000. commission will be Ans: Rs.2000

1: cost 40000+comm20%(10000)=50000 sale value

Comm 50000*5%=2500

2: sale 48000-Exps 6000=42000

Net value 42000 /(105%)=40000

Comm 40000*5%= 2000
