How to become a Research Analyst...?

It is good experience for you to work with a stock broking firm for last two years and it definitely imroves your analytical skills.For proper understanding of securities market it is essential that you should have some professional degree as it improves your knowledge in this subject.You may do CFA or NCFM course .Besides this you should start reading research reports issued by various brokerage houses which are available at internet free of cost ,it will helps you a lot.

Get yourself registered with the Soceity of Technical Analysts', UK... You wil get a boost in your career prospects' in this field if you clear their exams'...!!!

Is there any possiblity of an accountant becoming a research analyst or financial analyst If yes, how?

There are no specific qualifications' available in India for Research Analysis as the Indian Industry is not that well organised as compared to USA / UK etc.. You will find many people with various qualifictions' in Research Analysis.. Right from a graduate to a CA to a MBA... It is always' better to have cleared the NCFM exams to make inroads in this Industry if you do not have any professional qualification... It definately helps'...!!! As far as Financial Analysis is concerned , you can take up CFA ( ICFAI )... or if you are interested in going abroad to study , you can pursue the course conducted & designed for this very field by The Society of Technical Analysts' , UK... Indian Industry has yet to come up with any professional courses , although there are various colleges' in Mumbai who give a 3 yr. full time Bachelors' qualification in Derivatives & Capital Markets' after clearing the 12th grade...

Yap,of course.... ya..can certainly try for this...Even,ya ..will find more of the CA's into the Research field ...So boost upur morale...and start working towards..it..

Indian Industry is not that well organized as compared to USA / UK etc, Y? Because of Outdated Judiciary, Banking & Financial Systems.Yet We are fail to create Systems and spending our Young Generations times in compliance of Outdated,Irrelevant,Incongruence,Complicated & Illogical Acts,Rules,circulars,notifications,case laws................etc,Instead of Canalizing their efforts towards fruitful directions. The Research Analyst should have sound Knowledge in Fundamental and Technical aspects. For Basic You must have sound knowledge of Advance Accountancy,Financial Management Statastic Techniques.
