How to Learn From Failure And Come Out A Winner

How many dreams and goals have you put off because you were afraid of failing? How many times have you looked back on your life, thought of mistakes you've made, and kicked yourself over them? So many people allow failure to hold them back, when in reality failure can be a good thing!

Step 1

Failure creates learning experiences:

Whenever you fail at something it touches you in a deeply emotional way. Although it feels negative at the time, it teaches you important lessons. You learn what doesn't work, which can actually get you closer to success. Since it's so upsetting to fail, you'll try harder the next time.

Step 2

Failure pushes you to a new level:

Even if you try and fail, you'll never be the person you were before you started the path. You've pushed yourself to a new level, moved outside of your comfort zone, and are that much wiser for having attempted the task. If you constantly avoid pursuing goals and dreams for fear of failure you'll never know what you can do. Trying and failing is better than never having tried at all.

Step 3

Failure strengthens you:

Right after a failure you may feel weak, hurt, humiliated, knocked down, and/or frustrated. But something amazing happens once the original sting wears off, you actually become stronger in mind and spirit! With every effort put forth you grow stronger in character and increase your odds of achieving success. Since most people want to avoid the pain of failure, it can lead to greater focus and desire to succeed.

Step 4

Failure makes you braver:

Whenever you put your efforts into trying something and you fail you build courage to try again. It's usually fear of the unknown that actually holds people back, but once you've made it through a failure, taken a risk and lost, it won't feel as scary the next time you try. Bravery doesn't actually come from winning, but from the pursuit of goals-whether you succeed or not. By taking more chances you'll build courage to keep trying until you meet with success.

Step 5

Failure opens new doors:

They say that everything happens for a reason, and failure is no exception. Maybe you interviewed for a job and didn't get it, yet another one comes through that pays more and offers room for growth. Perhaps someone you've been dating suddenly breaks things off, and you meet someone ten times more wonderful. Failure is never the end of the road, but only the beginning of something potentially better.

How to Be Fearless

What is fear?

When we were studying emotional imbalances in school, my professor, said fear is an acronym called F.E.A.R. It means a False Estimation Appearing as Real.

We project into the environment our feeling of insecurity and see in it dangers to our well-being. Yet the reality out there has too many variables for us to predict it. Thus, all our anticipations are based on our insecurity, rather than a sudden clairvoyance.

With the proper mindset, determination, and will power, you can conquer your fear.

Everyone has some sort of fear. It is brought about by past traumas, the influence of other fearful people, and our own critical and hypersensitive view of things.

Although, fear is only in our mind, it does appear real to us. How do we break free from it? How long must you remain a hostage to it?

Is there a practical way to release it?

There is a single practical—and unpleasant step—you can take with any fear—and that is to face it.

Again, you have two choices, here.

You can run a mental simulation of the fearful event in your mind until it no longer has any charge. In these simulations, see yourself handling the fear with a sense of courage.

For example, if you have a fear of spiders, you can imagine that you have many friendly spiders as your pets, or that you rescue spiders from getting drowned in rain gutters, etc. In other words, you take on a very positive picture.

Or, you can also actually go through the event physically, and see how your fears are, in fact, in your mind, and not out there.

For example, if you are afraid of public speaking

, you can arrange to join a speaker's club and work it out in a public setting.

This is how you face your fears head-on and eliminate them.

Your fears can also be more subtle and pervasive.

What about something more subtle?

You may, for example, want to become a published writer, but you don't know if you can handle the pressure or the rejection from editors, and so on.

Again, doing it, either mentally or even physically will show you that most editors are actually very human; and, in fact, many will even help you to improve your writing skills.

What else?

Tap your whole mind.

In my experience, whenever I'm really determined to do something, my superconscious mind kicks in. I experience a flow of synchronicity that opens a way where before no way existed.

With the proper mindset, literally anything is possible. Faith in your abilities, in your subconscious intelligence, and in the manifestation of amazing coincidences will see you through anything.

Face your fears.

That's the cure.

How To Be Confident When
Others Treat You Harshly

Knowing how to be confident is a critical life skill and learning
how to gain confidence is easier than many think.

Most highly successful people are known to be confident.
They know how to gain confidence and they understand the
importance of improving self confidence in the face of
resistance from other people.

That is why knowing how to be confident is so very important...
There are times when others will treat you harshly even if
you don´t deserve such treatment. Do you know how to be
confident when this happens?

The resulting lack of self-confidence is sometimes made
worse by the way you talk to yourself...Don´t despair
learning how to be confident is really only a matter of
strategy

And thankfully it is easier than you think to learn how to
gain confidence when you correctly answer the question:
what is confidence?

Improving self confidence only requires that you find a
strategy that works and use it!

It does no good to think negative thoughts about yourself
and admonish yourself for "saying the wrong thing" to
someone or feel that you've messed up again in your
relationship with others. Doing so will not help you to
be confident. Improving self confidence starts with
a positive attitude.

This type of thinking only further reinforces the fact that
you have little or no self-confidence. It does not help you
when it comes to improving self confidence

You are someone special. You are smart. You are
interesting and appealing to others.

And you can learn how to be confident even if you
sometimes wonder - what is confidence and how
can you gain confidence?

You have a message for the world, and you need to learn
to get the message out. A few suggestions here can help
you to be confident so as to project the image you want
the world to see.

1. It's not always about you. Maybe the person you think
slighted you has had a bad day, or heaven forbid, maybe the
person just isn't nice. So What? You can still be confident
despite their bad attitude.

You can turn the situation around by asking some general,
interesting questions about the person. This may bring the
person out of the bad mood and who knows, you might put a
little sunshine into someone else's life for a change. The point
is if you want to be confident don´t wait for others to allow you.

2. Quit taking everything so personally if you want to be confident.
Knowing how to be confident is a critical life skill and learning
how to gain confidence is easier than many think.

Accept the fact that some people just aren't socially adept, and
they may have even less self-confidence than you do. They may
need lessons on how to be confident too!

Don't let someone else spoil your day. Don't respond to
negative feelings and above all, don't let yourself be
provoked. Think positive to keep your emotions in check.

Negative thoughts sap your energy and serve no purpose
and to be confident all day long you must stay positive.

3. Do you think you're the only one out there who gets
rejected? Think again! There are selfish people who only
think "me, me, me" to the exclusion of everyone else.

Knowing how to be confident is easier when you
accept that others face and deal with the same challenges.

Even the most successful people are rejected
(singer/songwriter Rod Stewart was rejected several times
because his voice was "too gravelly and coarse." He didn't
give up and today is rich and famous.)

If you really want to know how to be confident and gain confidence
you must learn to deal with rejection. What is confidence?
The ability to keep going in the face of rejection and feel
good anyway!

4. Don't give up. The old saying, "if at first you don't
succeed, try again" holds true for the person with no
self-confidence. To be confident keep focusing on
what you can do.

If things don't go your way, come up with an alternate
plan. If that's not accepted (remember, it not about you;
it's about an idea) keep trying and persisting - this is a great
way to learn how to be confident by gradually improving self
confidence with each challenge you face.

5. Stop focusing on yourself and dwelling on your perceived
shortcomings all the time. Focus instead on your goals and
what you have to do to achieve them. This is critical when
working on how to be confident.

Stop talking about yourself all the time. Other people get
tired of hearing about you constantly. Concentrate on a
genuine conversation about other people and other topics.

With a little self-help, you can overcome your feelings of
inadequacy and learn how to gain confidence. Before long
you will be confident more often than you are not.

While you are honing your skills at becoming confident, the
image you want to project is one of a person who is in
command of self and someone worth knowing and sharing ideas
and conversations with.

Make sure to use these ideas today and enjoy a very happy
and confident week now that you know more about
gaining confidence.

Imagine how good you will feel exuding confidence and charm,
impressing family and friends as your true personality shines

Bill Gates – A Success Story

Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1955 in Seattle in a family having rich business, political and community service background. His great-grandfather was a state legislator and a mayor, his grandfather was vice president of national bank and his father was a lawyer.
Bill believed in achieving his goals through hard work. He also believes that if you are intelligent and know how to use your intelligence, you can reach your goals and targets. From his early days Bill was ambitious, competitive and intelligent. These qualities helped him to attain great position in the profession he chose also Bill was deemed by his peers and his teachers as the smartest kid on campus; Bill’s parents came to know their son’s intelligence and decided to enroll him in a private school, known for its intense academic environment. That was the most important decision in Bill Gate’s life where he was first introduced to computers. Bill Gates and his friends were very much interested in computer and formed “Programmers Group” in late 1968. Being in this group, they found a new way to apply their computer skill in university of Washington. In the next year, they got their first opportunity in Information Sciences Inc. in which they were selected as programmers. ISI (Information Sciences Inc.) agreed to give them royalties, whenever it made money from any of the group’s program. As a result of the business deal signed with Information Sciences Inc., the group also became a legal business.
Bill Gates and his close friend Allen formed a new company of their own, Traf-O-Data. They developed a small computer to measure traffic flow. From this project they earned around $20,000. The era of Traf-O-Data came to an end when Gates left the college. Upon graduating from Lakeside Bill enrolled in Harvard University in 1973, one of the best universities in the country, He didn’t know what to do, so he enrolled his name for pre-law. He took the standard freshman courses with the exception of signing up for one of Harvard’s toughest mathematics courses. He did well over there, but he couldn’t find it interesting too. He spent many long nights in front of the school’s computer and the next day asleep in class. After leaving school, he almost lost himself from the world of computers. Gates and his friend Paul Allen remained in close contact even though they were away from school. They would often discuss new ideas for future projects and the possibility of starting a business one fine day. At the end of Bill’s first year, Allen came close to him so that they could follow some of their ideas. That summer they got job in Honeywell. Allen kept on pushing Bill for opening a new software company.
Within a year, Bill Gates dropped out from Harvard. Then he formed Microsoft. Microsoft’s vision is “A computer on every desk and Microsoft software on every computer”. Bill is a visionary person and works very hard to achieve his vision. His belief in high intelligence and hard work has put him where he is today. He does not believe in mere luck or God’s grace, but just hard work and competitiveness. Bill’s Microsoft is good competition for other software companies and he will continue to stomp out (challenge) the competition until he dies. He likes to play the game of Risk and the game of world domination. His beliefs are so powerful, which have helped him increase his wealth and his monopoly in the industry.
Bill Gates is not a greedy person. In fact, he is quite giving person when it comes to computers, internet and any kind of funding. Some years back, he visited Chicago’s Einstein Elementary School and announced grants benefiting Chicago’s schools and museums where he donated a total of $110,000, a bunch of computers, and provided internet connectivity to number of schools. Secondly, Bill Gates donated 38 million dollars for the building of a computer institute at Stanford University.
