what you are asking for? for number of returns or for number of taxable services?

if your question for number of returns then every assesse who is providing taxable services has to file return twice in the year.means half yearly basis.if your question is for number of services  then ther is more than 550 services on wich tax is levieble

Pls refer Rule -7 of Service Tax Rule 1994.

Half yearly service tax return i.e. April to Sept and Oct to Mar to be filed by the 25th of the month following the particular half year in Form ST-3 return.
