Quick Summary
The discussion explores whether income generated from letting out houses should be treated as 'House Property' income or income from 'Profits and Gains of Business or Profession' (PGBP). The consensus is that the classification depends on the primary objective of the company or firm. If the main business is letting out properties, it typically falls under PGBP, though some interpretations and case law suggest it could be considered House Property income.

IT DEPENDS FACTS OF THE CASE AS PER THE OBJECTIVE OF COMPANY OR FIRM .IF MAIN OBJECT IS OT LETOUT THEN PGBP
Main object is letout ... but in my book (mk gupta ) it is given house property .
There are two case laws CHENNAI PROPERTIES & INVESTMENT LTD- PGBP
