House property interest and deduction under section 80c
Residential house purchase in the name of husband and wife as co owner . Loan obtained in the name of both co owners , but payment by husband only . Interest and original amount liable deduction husband income tax return or not . Please clarify the position

Husband can claim interest to the extent of 2 lakhs or actually amount paid during the f y ,which lower
principal loan paid during f year ( 80c - max 1.5lakhs
