Home loan taxation

Hi,

If 3 people (not blood relation) want to buy a property together, the registry needs to be in the name of one person.

However, if the principal and interest needs to be split into three (per mutual understanding), will it attract tax? If so, how do we minimise the impact?

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the tax implications when three unrelated individuals purchase a property together, with the registry in one person's name. The core question is whether splitting the principal and interest payments equally among the three will trigger tax liabilities. Participants are seeking advice on how to structure the ownership and repayment to minimise any potential tax impact.

Yea generally two joint property and one nominee.

Could you elaborate?
