Home loan interest exemption

Hi
I have two homes, one is self occupied and one is let out.
Till last financial year tax exemption on interest paid for second home was unlimited.
From this year it has been capped at 2 lakhs.
So my question is total tax exemption one can get is
up to 2 lakh on interested paid on self occupied home + up to 2 lakh on let out home = 4 lakhs (considering max allowable limit in each)

or is it 2 lakh of total exemption combined ?

Max limit is of Rs.200000/- cumulatibe for all house properties.
consider maximum allowable exemption on both house
it is a debatable issue
mam in case of self occupied house limit is 200000/- and for let out house, there is no limit.. m i right???
from a.y. 2018-19 it's restricted to 2 lakhs only irrespective of the nature whether it is self occupied or let out
but if intt. is exceed than it shall be carried forward from ay. 18-19
no carried forward is allowed

in the act it is given only property and not properties... hence in the future we are gonna have lot of interpretations in this regard
