Is it Pvt company not mandatory to hold AGM ?

AGM is mandatory for private company.
As per section 96 of the companies act, 2013 every company (other than OPC) must hold in each year a general meeting in addition to any other meeting as its annual general meeting(AGM)..
AGM must be held within the 6 months from the end of financial year during business hour not in public holiday.

As per the provisions of section 96 of the Companies Act 2013, every Company in each year shall hold the meeting called Annual General Meeting. The Annual General Meeting of a newly incorporated Company shall be held within 9 months from the closure of financial year. and thereaafter within 6 months from closure of financial year. The time lag between 2 AGM shall not exceed 15 months.

it is mandatory to hold AGM for private company also.
it is mandatory for all companies except OPC
