I am in my first year of articleship. Due to health concerns i am looking for a transfer but my principal has refused and said that he will terminate my articleship if i do not withdraw my transfer application. I am currently in my first year of articleship after IPCC. People have said that i should accept the termination as they mean the same(as they both require form 109). Do they??? will accepting termination affect my career in any way ( for ex restarting articleship, delay of exam,completely ending my CA course etc). Request you to help me as i am really short of time. Thank You In Advance.

Just Check whether termination is allowed in First year of articles,TRansfer is allowed no doubrt...
if termination is allowed in First year ,then no issues go wit it..
you can also give a letter to icai...that ur termination is ,temporary...and you shall start back again after some time....
But For this,Check whether termination is allowed...in icai articleship regulations
i think that its not termination we think it is just process of transfer in which first cancel one & then enter into new contract
means that first take 109 form from you principal if he dont give then write a letter to instutute & our institute will issue a twoway letter to principal & article & then you show this letter to your principal he have to give you a transfer
& then with a new principal file a form 102&103
but this process is only when you are in your first year of articleship
& my opinion is this he will charge a huge amount of extra leave to your form first consult with your principal about that.
