Hi everyone! please be kind enough to answer my query, i have given PCC May 2010 exam, but im not sure i will be able to clear it or not, because of this I am very depressed, i cant concentrate on my work and moreover i am not able to sleep also.what should i do?Should i start studying everything from start or should i wait for results. i dont think i will be clear to clear any group, Please advice, thanks in advance

Hi Priyanka!! I can understand ur situtation as I hv also given PCC May2010 attempt. But dt ws not my first attempt. If u r sure that u r nt gng to clear then i wld advice u to start studing... make n analysis of ur papers n go for the group which u r sure u will nt pass.. coz dr is no point wstmg time...N dont worry bout the results n do ur articleship (I hp u r dng) very sncrly... coz ds 3.5 yrs are very imp 3.5 yrs of our life....n dnt loose hops who knws if ur luck is gud u'll clear both grps.... All the best!!!

dear priyanka if u are sure or not does not matter. my personal opinion is go for study now because this is a very precious time. u can create command over ur weak areas and strenth over subjects.but don't create pressure on urself take it easy and do study with relaxation.give time for enjoyment also.

INMY OPINION U SHOULD START UR STUDIES FROM NOW . DONT WASTE UR TIME BECAURE RESULT WILL BE ON END OF JULY . THEN AFTER RESULT U WILL HAVE ONLY 3 MONTHS FOR PREPERATIONS . SO U SHOULD START UR STUDIES FROM NOW. IT IS A BEST WAY TO BOOST UR CONFIDENCE . BEST OF LUCK FOR FUTURE .

Hey Priyanka,

Dont worry girl. Study those subjects which are useful even for Ca final exam. Something like Income Tax, Accounting Standards..

So even if you get thru it will be helpful for final syllabus

Failures are stepping stones of Sucess

Be positive. Take it easy dear friend. Whole CA is like elephant. CPT is Tail, PCC syllabus is like elephant's body and Final is its head. Practive things regularly. My experience says only one key to pass CA i.e positive approach. Everyone can take this from, Failure is your second Guru. Teacher says what to do to pass but our failure teaches what u should not do to pass the exams. I can suggest you fine (in my nopinion) approach. first happily enjoy for 2 days.

From today(21.06.2010) you have more than 2 months , seems to be small if said in months. You have more than 70 days for your exams. Divide it according your convinence. i got 61% in second attempt. The way i approached as follows.

If you are weak in accounts and costing, solving problems alone helps to gain mastery over the subject. Important thing is dont do many problem on the same area instead do single problem many times. it will help to understand the concepts.

For auditing Study Standards, specifically theri names with numbers and quote while solving the cases. It will be better if you use tapan jindal's "notes on auditing" it has only 200 pages including all standards. very simple english is used in it. I used it bcoz i am weak in english.

For Law Go thorough PE2 Suggested answers. Questoins cant come out of it. There may be a very rare case.

For TAX provisions will go into your head automatically if you discuss with your friend. Take some provision study it during night and immediately revise it morning.

Dont ask me how to work on Info tech god has saved me i dint do anything on it. mug up compilation.

Strategic management is a managerial related subject. While approaching the subject think that you are a manager of a company and things concepts will automatically get into your head. better buy super scanner for SM alone.

you can easily remember formulas if you note down formulas of accounts and costing, name and numbers of standars, tax provisions in flow chart manner, in your own hand writing and revisie it daily before going to bed. once formulas are memorised it does magic.

Above are just an experiance. If any mistakes in opinion kindly inform me.
