help on ref books

Your best bet is to buy updated books for Law and Auditing.There are not much major amendments,still it is a pain to collect all the small changes and minor amendments and also updated case-laws(in the case of Law),SEBI DIP guidlines,Competition Act changes,etc and then incorporate it in the old book while studying.

However,if you have patience and/or lack monetary resources to buy a new book.You may download necessary amendments,case-law updates(Till Oct 2009),etc from this Forum or ICAI.org and then proceed with your preperation

Law: Best book: Munish Bhandari

Auditing: Best Books: Padhukas(though a take-off from Study material is quite comprehensive and has latest amendments and questions of past exams and RTPs),Vinod Agarwal and Kamal Garg.
