Help Needed- CPT Rules for Passing

Can anyone please tell me whether the new rules for CPT ie. Getting 30% in each subject; will be applicable to the June 2011 exam or not?

To Pass The CA CPT Examination You Need 100 Marks Out Of 200.

One Paper of 200 Marks Divided in to Two Session of 2 hours Each Including These 4 Subjects -


Accounts - 60 marks

Mercantile law - 40 marks

Economics - 50 marks

Maths + Stats - 50 marks


Exam Qualifying Creteria - 

You Have To Scored Minimum 50% Marks in Aggregate And 30% in Each Subjects.

It means You Have to Score 100 Marks Out Of 200.


Negative Marking -


0.25 Marks For Every Wrong Answer.

30% marks in individual subject not applicable for june 2011 xam...since there is no notification by ICAI regarding the same

Suresh ji... Can you please tell me where have you got this information from.. and r u sure it will be practiced in June 2011 CPT exam... I have checked icai notification .. but there is no such notification in te website icai.org... Please answer... Thanks..

It doesn't apply for the December CPT-2012, as of 3-08-2012. One never knows when they'll change :)
