We pay service tax on GTA & BAS throgh service tax code no.00440262& 00440225.what is the new code for that & when it came in to force.?.
If new code is appicable from 1.7.12 then what should we do if service tax is paid throgh old code?.

Now the codes are 00441089 (Service Tax), 00440298 (Education Cess) and 00440426 (SHE Cess). All your GTA and BAS payments shall be made under the above codes. If you want to pay any arrears relating to the prior period i.e., 01.07.2012, then you have to use old codes.

Thanks but by misatke we have deposited service on both services for the m/o July & August through old code while new code was applicable from July1st.What should we do?
