YES MANDATORY TO PROVIDE IN GSTR_1
BUT IF YOU FORGET TO PROVIDE SO IT IS NOT BIG ISSUE
Not compulsory.
you can file your return with zero turn over also but as you are aware the Aggregate turnover you fill here will be Auto populated in the subsequent months . so it would be better to provide correct turnover while filing April 2018 GSTR-1.
