My CA Final attempt is in November 2010. My IDT classes will commence from Febraury 1, 2010.
I am confused due to GST. I was planning to start IDT reading now, so that I would be able to complete first reading before classes. But, I don't know the current mood of Govt. - whether they are going to implement it or not?
If yes, I will start reading GST, coz I will have the same in my syllabus.
Can anybody help me in this ????
There is a meeting of Govt officials this week to give final shape to the GST scheme, i.e., deciding whether to implement CGST and SGST or IGST and also regarding multiple or single rate slab. It will be applicable from 01/04/2010 onwards, in case the govt. dosen't postpone it. There exist no certainity as regards its inclusion in the CA Final syllabus for NOV 10 attempt, We'll have to wait for ICAI's announcement in this regard.
