Maximum late fees as per new notification is rs 500 for returns pending from july 2017 to july 2020 if you file the return before 30th September
If no turnover then Nil late fees
If no turnover then Nil late fees

Maximum Late Fees for FORM GSTR-3B has been capped at Rs. 500 ( Rs. 250 under CGST Act + Rs. 250 under SGST Act ) per Return for the period July 2017 to July 2020 provided the Return is filed within 30th September 2020 ( 30/09/2020 ).
However incase of NIL Return, the Late Fees has been waived fully provided the Returns are filed by 30/09/2020.

In case of Nil return there is no late fee for return from jul 17 to jul20 for GSTR 3b
In case of Tax liability 500/- per return for Gstr3b from jul 17-jul20
