i going to start vegetable wholesale unit. expecting more than 20 lakh turnover. is i needed to take gst registration. i think vegetable are exempted

Agriculture products are exempt from GST.If it crosses 1crore also exempt

Yes. Since Agriculture products are exempted from GST, Vegetables Dealers are not required to get themselve registered even if their annual turnover exceeds ₹20 lakhs.
