I have recently started a new petrol pump. Petrol and diesel sales are subject to VAT law but sale of oil is taxable under GST. I am already registered under gst for a completely different business.
Do I need to register as a new business or can add additional place of business?

No more second registration under GST, but you can add a new business vertical in same registration number.
you can add the new address as additional place of business without acquiring new registration. and can maintain a separate series of invoice for the new vertical.
Will it be under Amedment of Registration Core fields or Non-Core field?
you just have to add it in the goods and services section.
