GST Registration for different trade name with same PAN

Hi Experts,

Need clarification on the following:-

A person already having GST Number with a Trade name(Proprietor ship) . Now he has ventured in to a different business with different Trade name. My question is whether the existing Gst Number can be used for new business with different trade name. Same proprietor and same Pan.

if it can be used , how to make amendment in the existing registration.
