Can anyone please suggest me can I take gst registration letter on individual name?

Yes if you are an Sole Proprietorship/Freelancer you can definitely take it in your name.

You will need ID and Address Proof (Aadhar, PAN, Passport etc), Bank Account Details (Cheque Book/Statement), Passport Photo and many basic details. All these to be be uploaded at the time of registration.
