Gst registration

Registration 182 views 1 replies

My client is in the business of selling unstitched garments (ladies suits and dress material) through his website, wherein he procures orders online and arranges to dispatch the same to his customers. In this process the invoice is raised in his name by the wholesalers/distributors/manufacturers and he further raises the invoice in the name of his customers. All payments are deposited in his bank account by the customers.

His annual turnover is below Rs. 10 Lakhs and this trade was earlier exempted under the VAT.

Whether this business will have to be registered under GST, where the threshold limit is Rs. 20 Lakhs and whether this business comes under the definition of E commerce operator as defined in Section (43) of the CGST Act.
