sir I am tea powder dealer sale in retail, but I purchase from Tamil Nadu, my turn over 3500000.00 yearly, gst number necessary or not, GST registration threshold limit 40 ok above GST NUMBER COMPULSORY, but supplier ask me GST NUMBER. kindly give me suggest

If it is inter state purchase then gst registration in mandatory
Your turnover is 35 lahks without ur gst liability on such sale of supply of same.The closing stock value of same goods not disclosed in ur query .
Interstate purchases kar sakta h sales nhi kar sakta h
If interstate sales, GST registration mandatory, not mandatory for purchase.
Pls note it's optional but mandatory in your case.
