19 March 2019we are a civil contractor registered under GST as work contract services
we do projects with govt and pls note that we do work contract services,
we request to govt authorites i.e our client to issue us advance to supply materials on site
my query is that are we liable to pay GST on advance or no
as no gst is applicable on advance received on supply of materials

i understand that i have to pay tax on advance received for services
but here my query is that we have received advance against supply of material , then are we liable to pay tax on advance?
