GST ON Salt
I am a distributor of Tata salt and other salts in west bengal. Due to exempt goods under vat I didn't registered Sales Tax. But after GST would I liable to get register under GST ACT?

Most likely NO.
Presently exempted items in VAT and most of the food items are likely to be exempted from GST.
Salt may remain exempted even under GST. We should wait for the GST tariff to be declared.
