GST on preferred location charges by builder
I am in the process of purchasing a flat in DLF in Panchkula. when the payments are complete and house has to be handed over to me the builder is asking for a GST of 18% on preferred location charges. Request to please clarify as the amount is quite a bit.

THOUGH IT IS APPLICABLE; BUT FOR UNDER-CONSTRUCTION PROPERTY. NOT OVER CC OBTAINED FLAT.
SECONDLY, IF YOU HAD PURCHASED IT AS A PACKAGE, ALL SUCH CHARGES SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN LUMP SUM DEAL.
