Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether Goods and Services Tax (GST) applies to financial transactions involving borrowing money for share investments. The consensus is that GST is not applicable to the interest paid on the loan itself. Furthermore, the sale of shares is considered outside the purview of GST, meaning no GST is levied on profits made from share trading.

You may go through your contract note which is generated by your broker

1. interest is paid on loan - YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY GST.

2. SALE OF SHARES ARE OUT OF PURVIEW OF GST , HENCE NO GST.
