In a private college providing degree courses like B.A, B.SC., B.COM., is GST applicable on the fees charged to students? Does the private colleges require GST registration? If yes then why?

If the degrees offered by the college are recognised under any law of India then the fees collected for such services is exempt under GST.

Such college are exclusively engaged in exempted from gst than registration is not necessary.

Yes... I agreed to above said replies.

If the college exclusively give as per above said exempted supplies then no need registration under GST...
