Gst officers riding & and penalties imposing

Dear all,

Recently i have seen local vendors/small business oweners,they are scared in local GST officers because if any cases they office vising to thier trading shops and impose any penalties.

Actually they are filing their returns are through local guy,that guy dealing with department persons and both are so much money collected from innocent small traders.

This type highly correption i have seen my last few months after coming of GST only.

My doubt is if Officer visiting rights and searching of any small scale vendor trade unit and impose any penalty rights in spotly?

please advice for what are the legal procesures of small scale vendors maintain records for without these type of problems arise iin future

dear: as per GST

As per Rule 18:

18. Display of registration certificate and Goods and Services Tax Identification Number on the name board.-

[1] Every registered person shall display his certificate of registration in a prominent location at his principal place of business and at every additional place or places of business.

[2] Every registered person shall display his Goods and Services Tax Identification Number on the name board exhibited at the entry of his principal place of business and at every additional place or places of business.

As per sec 35 Cgst
to maintain & keep accounts for
1. inward & outward supply
2. stock register
3. input tax availed
4. output tax paid
