for upcoming 1-4 financial year.. should I have to use same subsequent invoice numbers or should I change those invoice numbers.

You kept seprate invoice number for seprate financial year. if you keep the invoice number unique base for every financial year.

No more restriction for these way...

it' will be comfortable to manage account if u change Ur tax invoice book in next financial year .
as there is no law that u have to change Ur tax invoice book when the financial changes

yes , you can change to fresh invoice serial number from 1.4.18 onwards.
Hope Numbers could be the same,
Hence, it also contain the year
For Ex: Invoice no could be, "GST-1-2017:18"
Hope,only the year will change
it could be "GST-1-2018:19"
Its better to start new no. for our internal management.
No more restriction for change for the Invoice number except same number in Same FY... ....
Also You can continue the last FY to Current FY or Change new Series or Start from 1.,
So, All of Your choice... No more restrictions...
