Hi please tel me what is the impact of GST on discounted cloths. If the offer is bye one and get one free and the full price (MRP) of one cloth is INR 950. Now after discount 2 cloths comes up with the same price i.e INR 950 Do merchant charge GST on the product

Dear Mr. Saurabh,

As far my knowledge is concerned seller will charge the GST @ 5% as the value of goods are under 1000/-

Thx But today I encountered an incident were merchant charged gst on items which have on discount more than 50% and there MRP is not more than INR 1000 but at the same time he is not charging gst on items having 10% discount with INR 640 (MRP value)
