Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the Goods and Services Tax (GST) implications for jaggery products, specifically addressing HSN code 1701310. Currently, jaggery is considered nil-rated, meaning no GST is applicable. Therefore, businesses solely manufacturing and selling jaggery do not require GST registration based on this product alone.

17011410 - Other cane sugar: Cane jaggery HS Code and Indian Harmonised System Code.

To find an HSN code for a product, first, select the Chapter, then select Section and filter the subheading to finally get the product code. For example, HSN code for Chana Roasted is 19.04. 10.90 where 19 is the Chapter, 04 is the Section, 10 is the subheading and 90 is the product

If you are supplying only Jaggery then there was no need of taking GST registration only.

As of now its Nil rated, No taxes are applicable.
