Eligible inputs are found in GST audit(FY 2018-19) but Inputs were not taken by him in that year in books as well as in return.
what should we do now if client want to take input now (in july 2019).
1). whether change books for the FY 2018-19 and took ITC in return of FY 2019-20(Mismatch will be there input as per GSTR3B and books).
(or)
2). Show INPUT in the books of FY 2019-20 as prior period input and return in FY 2019-20.

Presently there is no break up that is shown in GST 3B about invoice wise input, you can generally claim input as carried forward.
while presenting GST 9, please carefully mention that the difference in input availed within 6 months of the corresponding financial year

In GSTR-3B there is no challenge as there is still time left to claim ITC of FY 2018-19. The only challenge is that if u take the credit in books now, you have to make a reconciliation.
The DUE DATE for furnishing of Annual Return in the FORM GSTR-9 / FORM GSTR-9A and Reconciliation Statement and Audit Report in FORM GSTR-9C for the financial year 2017-18 has been extended from 31st August, 2019 to 30th NOVEMBER, 2019.
REMOVAL OF DIFFICULTY ORDER No. 07/2019-CT dated 26.08.2019, issued by the CBIC Department.
Hence, the latest Due Date to file ANNUAL RETURN ( GSTR-9 and GSTR-9A ) and Reconciliation Statement and Audit Report ( GSTR-9C ) is 30.11.2019.
